Rajasthan Uttar Matric Chhatravritti Yojana Overview

The Rajasthan government, through the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, has launched the Rajasthan Uttar Matric Chhatravritti Yojana. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically weaker students of Rajasthan who wish to pursue higher education without financial constraints. The scholarship is available for students from Class 11th up to Post Graduation (PG) and professional courses.

Benefits of the Scheme

• Financial support to encourage students from underprivileged and economically weaker sections to pursue higher education.
• Annual scholarship amount up to ₹15,000, depending on the course.
• The scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
• Eligibility extends to students in Class 11th, 12th, ITI, Polytechnic, BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, B.Ed, MA, MSc, Medical, Nursing, and Engineering courses.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
• The scheme is open to both male and female students.
• Applicants must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Special Backward Classes (SBC), or Denotified Tribes (DNT) categories, or be from economically weaker sections.
• Students must be regularly studying in a recognized institution after passing Class 11th.
• A minimum of 60% marks in the previous class is required.

Family Income Criteria

• SC, ST, and SBC: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.50 Lakhs.
• OBC: Annual family income should not exceed ₹1.50 Lakhs.
• EBC: Annual family income should not exceed ₹1 Lakh.
• DNT: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2 Lakhs.
• For students studying in national-level listed institutions, the annual family income should not exceed ₹5 Lakhs.
• Children of BPL cardholders, Antyodaya cardholders, orphans, specially-abled individuals, widows, or divorced women are also eligible.

• Original fee receipt for the current academic session
• Bank Account Passbook (linked with Jan Aadhaar)
• Mobile number and email ID linked with Aadhaar Card
• Passport size photograph

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply online for the Rajasthan Uttar Matric Chhatravritti Yojana:

1. Visit the official website of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department or the SSO Portal (sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
2. Login using your SSO ID and password. Register if you don't have one.
3. On the dashboard, click on the 'Scholarship (SJE)' app icon.
4. Select the 'Student' option and enter your details.
5. Update your profile using your Jan Aadhaar number and verify all details carefully.
6. Fill in the scholarship application form with details like the current institution, course, year, and fee receipt information.
7. Upload scanned copies of the required documents (domicile, income certificate, caste certificate, fee receipt) in the correct size.
8. Review the form thoroughly and click on the final submit button.
9. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
