TGICET-2026 Counselling for MBA & MCA Admissions - Overview

This notification details the web-based counselling process for candidates who have qualified in TGICET-2026 and are seeking admission into MBA and MCA courses. The process includes payment of processing fees, slot booking for certificate verification, certificate verification, and option exercise. Who Can Apply?

Candidates who have qualified in TGICET-2026 and secured 50% (for OC) and 45% (for Others) in aggregate marks in their Degree or equivalent examination are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate shall be an Indian National.
• Candidates should satisfy the local/unreserved status requirements as specified in G.O.Ms.No. 15 Higher Education (TE) Department dated 27-02-2025.
• Admission to 85% of seats is reserved for local candidates of O.U. Area as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974. The remaining 15% are unreserved seats. Detailed criteria for local candidates are provided.
• Age Limit for Scholarship: Maximum eligible age is 30 years for OC candidates and 34 years for other candidates as on 01-07-2026.
• For MBA: Must have passed a Recognized Bachelor’s Degree Examination of minimum three years duration (excluding Oriental Languages).
• For MCA: Must have passed BCA/B.Sc/B.Com/B.A with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.
• Degrees obtained through Distance Mode/Open Distance Learning (ODL) must be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB.
• Candidates with degrees from Other State Universities must submit an equivalency certificate from Osmania University.

Spot Admissions

Guidelines for Spot Admissions for MBA and MCA in University and Private Unaided Colleges will be placed on the website https://tgicet.nic.in on 24-08-2026.

Application Fee

• Processing Fee: Rs. 600/- (for SC/ST) and Rs. 1200/- (for others).
• Payment to be made online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.

Payment of Processing Fee and Slot Booking Procedure

1. Visit https://tgicet.nic.in and click on “PAYMENT OF PROCESSING FEE”.
2. Register using TGICET-2026 Hall Ticket Number, Registration Number, and Date of Birth.
3. Enter Aadhar Number, Mobile Number, Email ID, and details of Caste/Income/EWS Certificate application number (if applicable). Mobile number changes are not permitted.
4. Update information and pay the processing fee.
5. Book a slot for Certificate Verification at a convenient Help Line Centre (HLC) within the scheduled dates.

Certificate Verification

Physical presence of the candidate is mandatory for certificate verification as per the scheduled slot booking. Candidates must bring all original certificates and two sets of Xerox copies.

• TGICET-2026 Rank Card and Hall Ticket
• Aadhar Card
• S.S.C or equivalent Marks memo
• Intermediate or equivalent Memo-Cum-Pass Certificate
• Degree Memorandum of marks and Provisional Pass Certificate
• Study or Bonafide Certificate (IX class to Degree)
• Transfer Certificate (T.C)
• Income Certificate (issued on or after 01-01-2026)
• EWS Certificate (valid for 2026-27)
• Integrated Community Certificate
• Residence Certificate (for 7 years preceding qualifying examination if no institutionalized education)
• Non-Local candidates: Residence Certificate or Employer Certificate as per detailed criteria.
• Minorities: SSC TC containing Minority Status or certificate from competent authority.

Special Categories (PHC/CAP/NCC/Sports)

• Special category candidates must book their slot at GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, MASAB TANK, HYDERABAD.
• Specific certificates required for PHC, CAP, NCC, and Sports categories are detailed in the notification.
• PHC candidates need a certificate of 40% and above disability from the District Medical Board (SADAREM).
• CAP candidates require specific certificates from respective authorities based on service status.
• NCC candidates need NCC Certificates.
• Sports candidates require Sports Achievements/Testimonials certified by State Sports Associations.

Reservations

• EWS Reservation: 10% reservation as per G.O.Ms.No. 244 dated 24-08-2021.
• ST Reservation: 10% reservation as per G.O.Ms.No.33 dated 30-09-2022.
• PH Reservation: 5% reservation as per G.O.Ms.No 2 dated 28-01-2025.
• SC Grouping Reservation: As per Telangana Scheduled Castes (Rationalization and Reservation) Rules, 2025.

Minority Candidates (Not Qualified/Not Appeared)

Minority candidates who did not qualify or appear for TGICET-2026 but meet the minimum aggregate marks (50% for OC, 45% for Others) in their degree can be considered for leftover seats in minority colleges. They are not eligible for Fee Reimbursement. Procedure to apply is available on the website.
