Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) was constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission Act, 2023, notified on August 21, 2023. The Commission is responsible for the selection of teachers and principals across various educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh, as per the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission Rules, 2023.

The term "Teacher" as defined by the Act includes individuals appointed for imparting instruction, as well as Principals, Vice-Principals, and Head Teachers.

Key Functions and Scope of Selection:

• Receiving online requisitions for the selection of staff.
• Selection of Principals/Headmasters/Head Teachers for various departments.
• Selection of Assistant Professors in colleges.
• Selection of Lecturers (PGTs) in Intermediate Colleges and Atal Residential Schools.
• Selection of Assistant Teachers in High Schools, Junior High Schools, affiliated Primary Schools, and Atal Residential Schools.
• Selection of Instructors in Government ITIs.

The Commission emphasizes a fully transparent and merit-based selection process, adhering to government policies with zero tolerance for compromise on integrity.
